the location and facilities are excellent. we stay 1 night only. and it very nice. i suggest to book in this hotel they give you a lot of free to the bali safari park.
a lot of insects but the rooms has net to protect us from insect the rest is perfect
The rooms we booked were very comfortable and there was a mospuito net over every bed. That really helped to keep the armies of mozzies out at night. On top of that, the hotel provided mosquito repellent, the electric type, so it was convenient to use. The Tsavos restaurant was great, good food and great view watching the lions every meal. Room was also clean and small details such as toiletries and even slippers were provided. Very convenient to visit the Bali Safari and Marine part next door. Could hear the lions roaring throughout the night even from our hotel and the kids loved it!
We had to pay for the rooms upfront when we checked in & I thought this was very strange and did not conform with normal practice when guests settle their bills only at check out!
The stunning surrounds, the lovely staff who all seemed to be well spoken in Englsih, and very helpful. The rooms were just wonderful with the lovely view of the animals from the balcony. The swimming pool was very appealing with the friendly deer in the garden. The fact that one could just press 0 on the phone and have a golf cart come to the room to take the guests to the pool or to the lobby was fantastic as I was travelling with a very 'walk inpaired' companion. Over all it was the highlight of my trip to Bali. The Tsavo restaurant managed to turn out delicious meals even though there were so many diners. And to end it all, eating while watching the interplay between the lions was just uncomparable.
We were both very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of your beautiful staff. We were also very much impressed with the high quality of all our meals. Both our dinners were a wonderful dining experience from wonderful ambience to excellent gourmet food and top quality drinks. We really enjoyed the wildlife and how well cared for, happy and healthy they all looked. Having no metal bars like in other zoos, made us feel like we were in their environment and being able to get up close and personal with many animals was a thrill to us both. We had an excellent stay and I look very much forward to staying at your world class tourist park again.
The water being sprayed into the fan. There has been some cases of legionnaire's disease in Bali and watching the animal show, it made me feel a bit worried if the water was safe and wouldnt make us sick.
It was really an unforgettable experience to be able to see the animals just outside your balcony. Hotel provides carrots for you to feed the zebras, rhinocerous and antelopes who visited your room in the morning and afternoon. We had a very close encounter with the antelopes while walking towards the swimming pool though we kept a safe distance as no matter what they are wild animals so their behaviour is unpredictable. But since we carried with us the carrots, we fed them in almost quite a close distance. Very interesting and unforgettable experience.
For those who like shopping, this place is out of town. There are shuttle buses to certain areas but you need to book a day in advance.
Strolling through the park watching the animals. Having meals watching the lions in the restaurant. The staff are very friendly and will do anything they can to make your stay an enjoyable one. The spa treatments were divine. A truly enjoyable stay mingling with the animals it's a definite must for anybody visiting Bali
It's not the most luxurious but it doesn't claim to be, it's a unique experience not to be missed.
We were amazed at being able to watch lions just a few feet away through the huge window while eating in the restaurant. The photo in the brochure does not exagerate - we were sitting at the same table! Would highly recommend spending jut 1 night at the hotel as you then get 2 whole days in the safari park. The cost of the hotel was only $20 more than admittance to the park so excellent value. The food in the restaurant was 5 star.
Loved everything, especially being able to watch rhinos and elephants walking up to our patio.
Very well set out and comfortable. Breakfast watching the lions so close was amazing.
Our room was fantastic with a lovely view and the restaurant with its large windows to the lion enclosure was the highlight of our stay
Children like the animals.
It s wired to sleep in a empty zoo, nothing to do in the evening, really strange.
Surprising resort. The safari was excellent. Rooms are very nice with Zebra and rhino feeding at the back door. Good restaurant with view of the lions. Would be an excellent family stay.
We were originally planning a day trip to the safari park but after reading reviews on this and other sites, decided an overnight stay might be better. This was simply the best decision we made on our trip to Bali. It did however cause a slight inconvenience (see below). What was included with the room? 2X day safari tickets, 2x breakfast plus framed photo. You really can't complain at the value compared to buying tickets for a day trip. We were travelling with our 5 year old and the Booked.net website did not allow us to add an extra person to the booking. So they wanted an extra us$20 for the additional bed, day safari ticket and breakfast. I was kind of expecting this and didn't think it unreasonable. The good thing about staying overnight is that by checking out and leaving bags at reception, you can have nearly a day and a half in the park. This allows you to avoid the large queues when all the day trippers show up. For dinner, food in the main restaurant was of a reasonable quality. Expensive for Bali but not bad by western standards. As echoed by others, it was the experience with the lions that made this special and and something the day trippers don't get. We also did the night safari - different and shorter to the day safari, it involves travelling in a caged bus and hand feeding zebras and lions. Unique and great fun! The room was nice - however there was some gaps that let in some local wildlife in (a few ants). For us, this was all part of the experience so no problems and there was good mossie nets around the bed. We spent a good couple of hours on the balcony in the morning feeding and watching the animals, even went back after breakfast. Something we won't forget and just superb for kids. We didn't do the elephant ride as it was too pricey for us and didn't get in the pool as intended. My daughter wants to go back, so maybe another trip in the future?
This is not a complaint about the hotel but when we showed up, they had no record of our booking made 2 days prior on this site. So perhaps it's worth confirming by phone. However the staff, were very accomodating and helpful by accepting the confirmation email shown on a smartphone and forwarded to them. The only other thing was that we made our own transport arrangements to get there (regular taxi - 90k from Sanur). Over the stay, we were questioned a number of times by the porter staff attempting to organise our return transport. When we told them we'd be using a taxi, they told us that they don't come here because it's too far away and that we'd need to use a private car that they could organise. Thankfully we didn't believe this bs and just asked them to take us to the main gate on check out. Low and behold there was a bunch of taxis sitting there! The taxi drivers still wanted to negotiate and I agreed on a small premium to the outbound trip. Ended up much cheaper than using the parks own transport.
It was amazing to wake up to see the Rhinos every morning! The Hut we stayed in was gorgeous! Holding the baby Orangutan and having breakfast with the lions was an amazing experience! Fantastic balinese show! Lovely swimming pool where you can relax and see the safari park and wonderful spa! An amazing experience overall and I would highly recommend!
The stay at the lodge was excellent as the cost allowed us to visit the park and see all the exhibits which is a must do experience. The rooms were well appointed and an experience to stand on the balcony with almost withion reach of Rhino's, Zebra's and the elephant riders navigating the perils of the wild from 10 feet above. Came as a recommended trip and have already recommended to others to try should the time and inclination arise. Breakfast to die for lions a mere 6mm away through plate galss absolutely unreal. Give it a try.
We had the best room first one nearest reception but furtherst from pool - use the golf cart lift off the staff this cures it. No real complaints.
The animals were amazing and to see them every morning when I woke up was like something out of a dream, I could not fault the accommodation and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
